Rapid Prototyping Resources & Other Equipment

We use Solidworks Pro for CAD, Blender for advanced freeform shaping, and CAMWorks for creating CNC milling files. We also work with a select group of rapid and specialty manufacturers for when a part or service needs to be outsourced. Most of these manufacturers we've been working with for many years.

Our rapid fabrication resources include:

4x Form 3 photocuring resin 3D printers

Bambu Carbon X1 filament (FDM) 3D printer with multiple filament printing capability

Solidscape S325 high precision 3D wax printer

Glowforge Pro laser cutter

Mayku Multiplier pressure former

Prototrak retrofitted 3-axis CNC Bridgeport milling machine with optional 4th axis

Cincinnati Milacron Arrow 500 vertical machining center with optional 4th axis.

Other shop resources include:

Precision Matthews 13" x 40" lathe with DRO

Jet 14" x 40" lathe with 3 1/8" bore through the headstock

Most standard machine shop, wood shop, and jewelry shop equipment

Kilns and furnaces

Electronics lab and assembly equipment

Our standard stock resins available for the Form 3 include Black, Clear, Elastic, Flexible, High Temp, and Tough 2000. Note that fully cured Tough 2000 can be milled and will reliably hold threads down to 2-56. Other Formlabs resins are available as needed.
